Foot Doctor for Neuropathy Testing & Treatment

Do your feet feel numb, do they tingle, are they burning? Are you experiencing shooting pains, a loss of balance or the feeling that your sock is rolled up under your toes? YOU MAY HAVE NEUROPATHY.

There are over 100 known causes of neuropathy and you may be especially prone to developing this condition if you are a diabetic. Our Podiatrist can perform a simple skin biopsy in which we will determine the concentration of small nerve fibers in your lower extremity. This allows us to diagnose and effectively treat your condition.

Treatment for peripheral neuropathy includes nutritional supplements, prescription medications, injection therapy and in some cases surgical procedures to release swollen and compressed nerves. If you're experiencing any of these symptoms or have been diagnosed with diabetes, please contact our medical team for a comprehensive evaluation.

Morton’s Neuroma

A neuroma is an enlargement of the nerve that provides sensation to the toes. This enlargement can be due to poor foot structure, poorly fitting shoes or trauma to the feet. Common Symptoms of a neuroma include:

  • Pain between your toes

  • Swelling between your toes

  • Pain in your forefoot

  • Pain when you put weight on the ball of your foot

  • Numbness or Tingling in the ball of your foot

Treatment for neuromas typically includes padding, custom made orthotics, oral anti-inflammatory medication, cortizone injections or alcohol sclerosing therapy which usually eliminates the need for surgery. If these conservative treatments do not relieve the symptoms, surgical excision may be performed. End your suffering, please contact our podiatrist, Dr, Howard Dinowitz, for an appointment today.
